Sailing the High Seas WEEK 1: JUNE 25–29

Welcome aboard, matey! Sail the seven seas in search of hidden treasure, explore materials that float, design your own spyglass, and learn the art of knot tying. You will use cardinal directions to navigate through this week! Expect fair weather and lots of adventure on our nautical journey. Anchors aweigh!

Raiders of the Lost Artifact WEEK 2: JULY 2–6

Unlike fossils, which are the remains of creatures that lived in the past, an artifact is something that was made or modified by people who lived in the past. As a junior archaeologist, you will look inside King Tut’s tomb, play ancient games, match artifacts to their purpose, and create a time capsule. Imagine what you will uncover!

Time Travel: Colonial America WEEK 3: JULY 9–13

Step inside our time machine as we head back to Colonial America! Through traditional games, stories, and crafts you will discover what it was like to be a child before and during the American Revolution. You will be busy weaving, making candles, and tending to the crops. Come prepared to share your ideas at the town hall meetings and enjoy a special story time with Johnny Appleseed.

Scales and Tales WEEK 4: JULY 16–20

From turtles, to snakes, to lizards and dragons you will learn about all kinds of reptiles. Discover their habitats, favorite foods, and enjoy a visit from these cold-blooded friends. Reptiles are tough and some of the oldest species on earth, but some have ended up on the endangered list. Find out why and what you can do to help. You’re in for a close encounter!

3-Dimensional Adventures WEEK 5: JULY 23–27

All around fun- no 3D glasses required! While exploring a variety of mediums, you will design, play, and learn. Throughout the week you’ll transform 2D pictures into a 3D model, create your own beaded jewelry, build towers, and even layout entire cities. Bring your imagination and ideas to the table as you use LEGOS, natural and recycled material, and much, much more!

Acting Up and Rockin’ Out WEEK 6: JULY 30–AUGUST 3

You’re in the spotlight so get into character! This week will provide a variety of stage experiences. Stroll down the red carpet, see your name on the GHS Walk of Fame, and be a star performer. Then get down and boogie at a party just for you. We’ll be groovin’ to the music! This week, YOU are the celebrity!
