Sam Bhobe, Director of Extended Day
Born in Mumbai, India, Sam Bhobe grew up in Dubai, UAE. She is the daughter of two accomplished architects and received a BFA in Applied Arts from Bombay University, India, before embarking on a first career in advertising. Drawn to the most creative aspects of the profession, she worked as department director and copywriter, but eventually found her interests shifting outside the field, to the creative impulse of children. This led her to a second career based on a passionate interest in curriculum development Now in her second year as Director of Extended Day at Green Hedges, Ms. Bhobe has created a calendar of activities based on the celebrations of different cultures, such as making “Apple Smiles” in honor of Johnny Appleseed’s birthday and listening to a special guest reader in honor of the International Day of Peace. Ms. Bhobe enjoys travel, music (listen to the soothing flute music wafting out of her classroom during rest periods!) and spending time with her husband and daughter, Raadhika.
