Ms. Nichols is an experienced educator and Montessori professional with a Master of Education in PK–Grade 8 from Marymount University. She began her career teaching Kindergarten at Ambleside School before joining Green Hedges School as a Montessori Assistant while completing her American Montessori Society (AMS) Early Childhood certification.
At Green Hedges, Ms. Nichols serves as a Lead Montessori Teacher and Montessori Department Director, supporting the development of the Montessori program and working with faculty across all the Montessori classrooms. She also serves as the Director of Green Hedges Summer Camp.
In addition to her Montessori training, Ms. Nichols has postgraduate training in Orton-Gillingham, Positive Discipline, and other areas of early childhood education and professional development. She is passionate about supporting children’s independence, fostering a strong classroom community, and creating engaging learning experiences that meet children where they are in their development.
Ms. Nichols has been a member of the Green Hedges community for many years, and her three adult sons are all Green Hedges alumni.
