Rebecca Lingebach

Extended Day Assistant Director

Rebecca Lingebach, Extended Day Assistant Director, describes Green Hedges as “one of the happiest places to be.” Having graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Pre-K through Grade 8, she delights in supporting students as they discover their capacities in learning and creating. Ms. Lingebach has taught early childhood students at The Montessori of Mount Pleasant Preschool in Charleston, South Carolina, and at The Little Folks School in Washington, D.C., and has taught art to middle school students in Loudoun County Public Schools.

Highlights of her previous experiences include working with at-risk youth in the Revere, Massachusetts, neighborhood as part of creating an art installation there; and creating a mural in a children’s hospital in Boston that entailed creating dialogue with children who were patients of the hospital during the planning process. Of her current position, Ms. Lingebach says, “Green Hedges maintains a really great balance of allowing kids to be kids while keeping expectations high.” An artist with experience in several media including photography, painting, and three-dimensional crochet, she says, “It is exciting to see child development through the lens of Montessori, and to apply what I love about art, children, and teaching in the work I do.”
