Green Hedges Fund

As the cornerstone of philanthropy at Green Hedges, the Green Hedges Fund provides 3.4% of the school’s annual operating budget, and helps to underwrite every element of the Green Hedges educational experience – its rich academic and extracurricular programs, faculty salaries and professional development, materials and supplies, and maintenance of the school’s beautiful campus. 

Annual gifts, whether large or small, have true power and allow everyone who cares about Green Hedges to contribute in a real way to strengthening and enriching it. 

Every member of our school community is invited to make a gift and help us reach our goal of 100% participation and $180,000. With this in mind, we invite you to affirm your support of our school and our mission by making your gift today. Thank you!

Make a Gift Today!

Unrestricted gifts are applied to the area of greatest need and afford Green Hedges the greatest flexibility. You may, however, choose to designate your gift to a particular area of the School’s operations that is most meaningful to you. 

Gifts to the Green Hedges Fund are tax-deductible and are allocated within the fiscal year they are received.

Matching Gift Programs

Many organizations offer matching gift programs that support K-12 schools. Please check with your employer to see if they will match your gift. This is a great way to leverage the impact of your support by doubling or even tripling your contribution! If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer and send it completed and signed to the Philanthropy Office. We will do the rest. Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses too. Green Hedges School is also an accepted “write-in” agency for the United Way of the National Capital Area.
